I would like to thank Cynthia for her time and effort she put into the paintings of both my sweet dogs. She was able to capture their personalities and I will forever treasure these pieces of art. She has a real gift!

Here’s how you get started!
Step 1 / Purchase
To start, head to our PURCHASE HERE page to select the size you would like from the list above.
Follow the instructions to purchase. A non- refundable deposit of 50% is due to place your portrait in my painting schedule. The remainder is due prior to the artwork’s shipping or pick-up.
Step 2 / Submit Your Photo(s)
The better the photo, the better the painted portrait will be! Close-up photos allow me to see more details. I find it is best to work from a photo where there is some light in the eyes. It is easier to capture the individuality and “soul” of an animal when the eyes are not hidden in shadow. It is also best if there is a “light source” in the photo—the light is coming from one direction and there is a light side and a shadow side. This will give the pet more definition and will look less flat. If you are limited as to the photos you have available of your pet, I will do the very best I can!
I have a clever device that holds a dog treat clipped onto my phone. You wouldn’t believe how most dogs will sit beautifully and look directly at the camera using this! Before I bought this device, I used duct tape! If you live in Longmont, CO or surrounding area, I can always meet with you and your pet for a photo session for a small fee.
Step 3 / Timing
Paintings usually take 3 weeks. In some cases, they can be completed much sooner and rush jobs with just a couple of days turn around are available for a fee when workload permits. Late summer through the winter holidays is always busy and may have up to a 3 or 4 month waitlist. I’ll send you a picture of the near-final piece for your approval before I ship. At that time you are welcome to suggest any changes you'd like to see in the final portrait. I include one edit session with each purchase. For additional edits, you will need to purchase artist time by the hour.
Step 4 / Final Payment
Head to our PURCHASE HERE page to make your final payment. If your artwork will be shipped, you will find shipping options also under the PURCHASE HERE page. Your artwork will be shipped upon receipt of the final payment and shipping, if applicable.
Step 5 / Delivery
Artwork shipped within the United States generally will be delivered between 5 days to two weeks. You are also welcome to come by my location to pick up your painting.
*I do not accept returns on commissioned artwork.
